Just like, Merck PTE HD lets you view the periodic table of the elements. Available for free on iOS and Android, the application stands out for its interactive use and effective visual effects. In addition, each element presented is the subject of explanations and technical information.
Designed by the German pharmaceutical and chemical group Merck, this iOS and Android application has a very simple interface: a periodic table of the elements and a discreet button allowing to display a menu. By zooming in on each element, you will see a basic identity card for it: designation, classification, atomic mass, etc. You can also access a developed presentation of the element, a complete technical sheet, some information on its discoverer and possible illustrations.
The menu provides a search engine to easily find items. It also makes it possible to sort these according to multiple criteria: type, classification, group or fraction of the mass. The corresponding elements are then highlighted within the table by a specific color code. Consulting the atomic properties or the state of aggregation follows this same visualization principle.
Different tools complete the offer of Merck PTE HD. A table lists all the elements, of which a dozen diverse properties are defined: temperatures, density, year of discovery, etc. There is also a chronological frieze, allowing to discover the evolution of the discoveries and the men who are at the origin of them; as well as a molar mass calculator. Finally, a glossary allows us to return to several dozen essential concepts.
