A mobile version of Mario Kart has been in the works for some time. In fact, we reported on it early last year. Now the wait is finally over.
If you are impatiently holding your breath and are dying to tear up the tracks to fire shells, capture boosters or just take on your favorite Mario characters, then you are in it.
Hopefully it's worth waiting after the initial deadline that Nintendo had declared necessary to ensure that the game lived up to its usual standards.
The new game is available to download and play both Android (4.4 or higher) and iOS (10.0 or more) phones and tablets. Nintendo has also released this video explaining how the game works to help you before you even dive.
The highlights of this new mobile version of Mario Kart seemingly include a design that allows you to play one hand on a phone, with simple presses allowing control and drive.
The "Tour" section means that you will also travel through several places, including classics such as Rainbow Road, as well as basic tracks in major cities like Paris, Tokyo and New York.
The first two weeks of this tour take place in the Big Apple and you can unlock the musician Mario and Pauline from Super Mario Odyssey along the way.
