In a recent research note, Ming-Chi Kuo mentions the new Apple products expected this year. The site MacRumors noted a passage in which the analyst of KGI Securities speaks of a new MacBook Air at a more affordable price.

It is estimated that Apple will launch a new MacBook Air at a reduced price for 2018. MacBook model shipments will thus grow by 10 to 15% over the whole year Explains Ming-Chi Kuo in his report. The analyst does not provide any details regarding the characteristics of this future laptop. However, the presentation of this model could be made at the opening of the next Apple Developer Conference (WWDC).

As a reminder, the MacBook Air is the thinnest laptop offered by the apple brand. However, it has not seen any major updates in recent years. Last June, the 13-inch model benefited from a more powerful processor. It is the Broadwell chip. Note that the component is not new, since the Broadwell processor actually dates from 2014.

Apple currently offers the MacBook Air from 1099 euros on its online store. The new model announced by Ming-Chi Kuo could cost 200 euros less.
