During his October keynote, Apple had announced the launch of its new Mac Pro for the month of December, without giving an exact date for its release. The German distributor Conrad Electronic, however, began taking pre-orders for the two Mac Pro models, citing availability first on Monday December 16, then for a few hours the next day, Tuesday, December 17.
We do not know from what information Conrad announces this release, but its interest lies in the fact that this is the first launch date claim from a retailer. As a reminder, the launch of the Mac Pro was delayed by the new Intel Ivy Bridge processors which were officially launched in September, but which encountered delays in mass production.
In addition, MacGeneration posted a Tweet earlier this week claiming that delivery to customers could be as early as December 18, which would coincide with the launch of the day before.
Last date heard for the availability of the Mac Pro: Wednesday December 18 (previously we had been told about 12/13).

Either way, it will be difficult to get the Mac Pro before Christmas…
