Apple unveiled at the keynote of the WWDC 2014 its future operating system dedicated to Macs, OS X 10.10 Yosemite. While developers have already been able to download beta 1 from the OS for a few days, consumers will still have to wait several months to take advantage of it. Indeed, Apple will officially launch its OS X Yosemite for the general public this autumn.

However, Craig Federighi, senior vice president of software engineering at Apple, said the company would open access to the beta version of Yosemite to anyone who wants it, for the first time.
