The January 21, 2015, a major event is brewing on the side of Microsoft. The editor has just sent an invitation to journalists, inviting them to attend a conference called “Windows 10: the next chapter”.

The event will take place at the Redmond Campus and will count on the presence of Satya Nadella (Microsoft CEO), Terry Myerson and Joe Belfiore (executive vice-presidents of the OS division), as well as Phil Spencer (director of the Xbox division) . In an email to those who subscribed to the Windows Insider program, Gabe Aul said: “We will share more information about our vision of Windows, as well as the main features and advantages of Windows 10.” According to the site Neowin.net, Microsoft does not intend to launch the Consumer Preview of Windows 10, but rather a new edition Technical Preview. Microsoft would thus aim to distribute a new edition of Windows each month, pending the finalized version scheduled for the end of summer 2015.

In any event, there is a high probability that this conference will result in a new beta Windows 10. But will the various parties distribute more information on the other versions of the operating system, namely Windows Phone and Windows RT? And how to explain the presence of Phil Spencer? Will it be a question of standardizing apps from different stores, or something else entirely? There is a little more than a month to wait, but let’s hope that the event will shed light on the future of Windows, all media combined. Finally, last and good news: the conference will be broadcast live and on video.
