Last week, we presented the application to you System and Security Info, sold 0.99 € on the US App Store. The latter, developed by the startup SektionEins, with the help of Stefan Esser (a former jailbreak developer) made it possible to obtain very detailed information on his iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, in order to know among other things whether he was infected by malware. Unfortunately, Apple decided to remove System and Security Info from the U.S. App Store before it even arrived in France. The reason mentioned by the Cupertino company is that the application violates two rules of its virtual store: the 2.19 (Apps that provide false diagnostics or incorrect device information will be rejected) and 2.22 (Apps that contain false, fraudulent or misleading representations or names and icons similar to other apps will be rejected).
On his Twitter account, developer Stefan Esser quickly reacted by explaining the real reason according to him for the removal of the application: “The only reason our app is pulled and not the others that show system info / jailbreak status is because we put a dent in“ unbreakable iOS ”. For anglophobes, the man explains that System and Security Info has undermined Apple’s “unbreakable OS”, which the brand apparently did not appreciate …
