A few days ago, Orange started taking charge ofeSIM on the iPhone XS and XR in Spain. In France, the operator indicated that ” these offers will be launched early next year ” However, no official information has yet made it possible to know the precise launch date.
The French operator specifies that ” Since the eSIM has the same functionality as a physical SIM, the offers available on an eSIM will therefore not be different from the current offers ” IPhone XS and XR holders will therefore benefit from a second mobile line via eSIM support.
As a reminder, eSIM allows users to have a second phone line on their iPhone, without the need to insert any additional card. It is therefore possible to have multiple lines even if the device has only one SIM location. To do this, you must first subscribe to a compatible package from the operator, go to the iOS cellular data settings and scan the QR shell provided to activate the offer. Setting up is therefore a breeze.
Note that SFR and Bouygues Telecom are also working to develop an eSIM service in order to offer this new functionality to iPhone owners in France in the coming months.
