iPhone XI: a USB-C port instead of a Lightning? – iPhone Soft

A big change could happen on the next iPhone. Apple is about to abandon its proprietary connector to switch to the industry standard which is USB-C.
It was while passing the iOS 13 code that engineers discovered clues that could indicate the end of the connector introduced in 2012.
A change on iPhone XI for the better?
Apple has already taken a step towards USB type-C by making it the connector for the new iPad Pro and it could formalize the transition to this standard with the release of the iPhone XI. Other than the rumors that have been circulating for months and this discovery made by the developers, there is also constant pressure from the European Union which could force the hand of the brand.
This change, if it happens, will be followed by a wave of complaints from fans as it was the case when switching from 30-pin to Lightning but this change will also open the door to endless possibilities for users with devices that will be compatible with the majority of devices already on the market.
