Rumors and research notes seem unanimous: the iPhone 8 should not have a physical Home button. To simplify the use of its flagship phone, Apple would have provided gestures on the screen.
The apple brand range of smartphones is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the Cupertino company has thus provided an unprecedented premium model. This would be equipped with an OLED screen covering almost the entire front part. As a result, this ten-year-old iPhone would have fairly fine borders. To place the front camera, the speaker as well as the 3D and infrared sensors, Apple would opt for a small notch in the upper part of the device.
How to return to the home screen without a Home button? Apple would test a gesture system to perform certain actions. These gestures are summed up in a certain way to swipes of the screen. These would allow you to return to reception or even access multitasking. According to Bloomberg, the iPhone 8 could offer a dock similar to that provided on the iPad under iOS 11 on the lower part of the screen, which can group, for example, the most used applications.
The American news agency also suggests that the presentation of the tenth anniversary iPhone would be on September 12 during a keynote.
