Apple would have ordered 70 million screens OLED for’iPhone 8 of this year revealed Nikkei Asian Review. The Asian economic newspaper, which quotes Mark Hsieh (director of the research cabinet IHS Markit), also indicates that Samsung would be the sole supplier of the apple brand.
Hsieh thus takes short certain sources having announced that Apple would think of several suppliers concerning the OLED screens. Samsung would be the only one to supply the Cupertino company, and the analyst specifies that the South Korean giant ” is preparing to generate up to 95 million OLED displays for Apple in 2017, should demand exceed expectations ” In addition, Samsung has the most advanced technology in this area.
Smartphone market observers expect a record year for Apple due to growing enthusiasm for the brand’s next premium phone. Nikkei recalls that the apple brand will deliver two other models alongside the iPhone 8, namely the 7s and 7s Plus versions of the smartphone.
