As we all already know, TSMC is one of the main partners ofApple in the production of his future iPhone 7. As rumors announced a few weeks ago, the company would indeed manufacture almost all of the A10 chips that will equip the future iPhone of the apple brand. Of course, the South Korean firm Samsung is also called upon to help it in this task, but its market share remains lower compared to that of TSMC.
The Taiwanese company released its second quarter financial results yesterday. According to the report, it had sales of $ 6.89 billion during this period. This corresponds in particular to an increase of 8% compared to the second quarter of 2015 and 9% compared to the results of the first quarter of this year. However, the company plans to achieve a record third quarter for 2016 and the production of a large part of the A10 processors of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus is certainly for something.
Indeed, as we already reported here a few days ago, this contract could pay big dividends for TSMC. Moreover, that would not stop there since the Asian company would also be one of the producers of processors dedicated to future iPads.
