A few weeks ago, rumors had spread that theiPhone 7 Plus was going to embark 3 GB RAM (read: iPhone 7 Plus: 3GB of RAM, 21MP camera & USB Type-C?). Information that KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had confirmed, but which then evaporated.
Today, this hallway noise is surfacing again and this is the site Digitimes, known to be close to Apple’s production chains, which reports the information. According to the latter, the future iPhone of the firm with the apple will indeed benefit from 3 GB of RAM.
However, it is not yet known whether this will concern the two models (iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus) or simply the 5.5-inch one. If this is the case, then this addition of additional RAM will probably help to better support the dual photo sensor than should be present on the larger model.
So it may well be that this information is true, but it is still only a rumor. With the official presentation date of the two new Apple iPhones fast approaching, we should know more in the coming weeks (read: iPhone 7: pre-order date advanced to September 9?).
