Two sources support the fact that the iPhone 7 will be presented in five colors at the keynote tomorrow. A photo and a renowned analyst.
The first information about this rumor of five colors came through a photo. It is the Japanese site Macotakara which published a photograph displaying the five colors. These are the supposed SIM card drawers of the iPhone 7. In this photo, we see the usual colors gold, rose gold, silver, space gray and a newcomer: shiny black.
However, there is no way to verify that these SIM drawers are those intended for the iPhone 7. On the other hand, the second source very strongly confirms the same information. This second source is Ming-Chi Kuo. He is an analyst for KGI Securities and, for several years, has successfully announced in advance what Apple presents during its keynotes.
And Ming-Chi Kuo has just made a summary on what should be the iPhone 7. Among the advanced elements, he also specifies that five colors are to come. And these are the same as those on the site Macotakara. He even goes so far as to give a name to this shiny black by calling it “Piano Dark”. Indeed, looking at the glossy black SIM card drawer, it brings to mind the lacquered black of pianos. By being more down to earth, Apple would indicate that this shiny black is more related to the color of the Mac Pro.
