According to the Japanese newspaper Nikkey, Apple would currently be in talks with Sony about the camera of the future Iphone 6. Indeed, the Japanese multinational could supply the camera Facetime of the future apple brand smartphone and thus become its sole supplier for the sensors of the iPhone 6.
Since theiPhone4S, Sony already supplies the main sensor for the iPhone and could therefore soon replace Omnivision, which previously produced Facetime cameras. In addition, Apple’s orders prompted Sony to acquire a Japanese chip manufacturing plant (Renesas Electronics), likely aimed at tying the two giants more closely. This in order to double its production in 2015.
Although Nikkei does not reveal which new iPhone is likely to use the famous sensor, rumors claim that the 8 megapixel camera present on the iPhone 5S could get an upgrade for theIphone 6.
