Apple would have prepared the launch of several new devices in the second quarter of this year, according to analyst at KGI, Ming-Chi Kuo.
According to the research note that AppleInsider obtained, the Cupertino company should release the following devices in 2014: an updated iMac, new iPad Air and iPad Mini, an iWatch in two sizes, an iPhone 6 available in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions, an Apple TV update, and a 12-inch MacBook. iMac : Kuo mentions that Apple is likely to offer a new version of the iMac this year. Based on the rumor that the iMac will launch in the second quarter of this year, it is likely that the low-cost computer will make its debut during WWDC in June.
iPad Air 2 : The revamped iPad Air should arrive earlier this year than its predecessor, namely before November. The iPad Air 2 would carry an A8 processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, and Touch ID technology for fingerprints.
iPad Mini Retina: An updated iPad Mini is also planned alongside the iPad Air 2 in the third quarter. The iPad Mini with Retina display will also include the A8 processor and Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint sensor.
iWatch : Apple has yet to officially confirm the existence of a future iWatch, but that has not prevented the various concepts from proliferating online. According to Kuo, the iWatch is not a myth, and consumers should welcome it after months of waiting in the 3rd quarter of 2014. The smartwatch is rumored to be launched in two different sizes and in several styles.
Iphone 6 : Besides the iWatch, there is also a lot of buzz around the new iPhone models. According to Kuo, the iPhone 6 will be offered in two sizes, namely 4.7 and 5.5 inches. The larger model will be designed as a phablet rather than a smartphone.
iTV : The next Apple TV is expected to be launched between the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth. The new decoder will incorporate motion control technology, eliminating the need for a remote control.
MacBook Air Retina : The long-awaited MacBook Air with Retina display will be released in late 2014, according to Kuo. The 12 inch model would be expected to be “lighter and thinner”Than the current model, which would offer a more portable device.
These new apple brand products should make their big debut at the WorldWide Developers Conference in June as well as at the company’s usual keynote in the fall. The future iOS 8 will also be presented.
