Wintek, one of Apple's suppliers, is said to be having trouble producing screens for the iPhone 5, reports Digitimes.
Apple’s partner is said to have raised a problem that manifests itself when rolling the notches, but which is not visible until later. A problem that should not, however, impact the delivery times of the iPhone 5 when we know that Wintek provides between a fifth and a quarter of the screen for the next generation of Apple's smartphone. The TPK group is the main supplier of screens with 65 percent of production, with Chimei Innolux taking care of the rest.
In addition, the process for producing screens for the iPhone 5 would be similar to that of previous iPhone models, even if it is said that the new iPhone could carry a larger screen (presumably 4 ″).
We discuss it on the forum.
