Apple is expected to release three new iPhones 11 in just three weeks and, ahead of time, the Taiwanese publication DigiTimes, specializing in the logistics chain, shared an exhaustive list of its expectations regarding the devices.
Confirmed rumors for the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max
The report first corroborates several existing rumors, such as that which indicate the 2019 iPhones will have the same display sizes as the 2018 range, namely 5.8-inch OLED, 6.5-inch OLED and 6.1-inch LCD models. Likewise, the Face ID remains, without modifying the notch and still the 3D Touch capability. This last point is surprising.
DigiTimes also expects 2019 iPhones to incorporate A13 processors built on the basis of TSMC's 7nm process, two-way charging of portable devices such as Apple Watch and AirPods on the back of iPhones, as well as new colors, lavender and green.
Likewise, the report adds that the battery capacity will increase to around 3,200 mAh, 3,500 mAh and 3,000 mAh for the successors to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR respectively, i.e. around 20%, 10% and 2%. bigger than in 2018.
And, of course, no more cameras. It is expected that the next iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max models will be equipped with triple-lens rear cameras, while the next iPhone 11, replacing the XR, would gain a dual-lens rear camera. According to rumors, on high-end models, the third lens would allow the use of a wide-angle viewfinder.
The new rumors about the iPhone 11 Pro
Our colleagues also speak of a new possibility. They say Apple could launch an iPhone 11 Pro with dual nano-SIM support this year, which would likely be limited to the Chinese market. Last year, Apple launched the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR with two nano-SIM card slots in China, but the iPhone XS did not.
The three iPhones support dual SIM in other countries using a single nano-SIM pairing an eSIM inside the device. This feature allows iPhone users to have two phone numbers at the same time, which is useful for travel or for personal and business lines on the same iPhone.
Tuesday, September 10 is the date unofficially scheduled for the Apple event, with media invitations likely to be released towards the end of August. iPhoneSoft will obviously be there to transcribe the keynote in French.
