iPad: saturation of the American market?

iPad AirApple's dominance has been such in the United States for half a decade that the firm could begin to encounter a new problem on its national territory.

According to a micro-survey of 71 iPad Air buyers on the first day of marketing, by analyst Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, 75% of them already had an iPad, before this last purchase. Suffice to say that the American market is approaching saturation for iDevices.

To compare, first-time buyers were only 56% already owning an Apple tablet last year, when the iPad mini is released.

To return to first-time buyers of the iPad Air this year, 94% also own an iPhone. The rest, they don't have a phone or they combine two different universes between their devices? Astonishing.
