At WWDC 2015 next June, Apple should present iOS 9. Previous versions of the brand’s mobile operating system have brought new features to iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch over the years. However, this may change in the future.

According to a report released today by 9to5Mac, Apple will put more emphasis on improving overall stability and optimizing its OS rather than adding a plethora of new features.

This obviously does not mean that iOS 9 will arrive without new functionality, but stability will be the priority for the Cupertino company with this firmware. Apple no longer wants to meet the same concerns as with iOS 8, which have somewhat tarnished its image (read: iOS 8: battery and WiFi autonomy problems).

Finally, 9to5Mac reports that the future major operating system update will be rather light, to allow users of iOS devices with 16 GB capacity to install it easily. As always, Apple has not reacted on this subject and it will take a few more months to learn more about iOS 9.
