After only a beta, Apple released the final version ofiOS 8.1.1 at download. As expected, the latter fixes some slowdown problems encountered by owners ofiPhone 4S and D’iPad 2. As we announced to you after the release of beta 1, iOS 8.1.1 prevents the sealing of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch (read: iOS 8.1.1 beta 1 blocks the PanGu jailbreak).
If you want to be able to enjoy it and you have unfortunately updated your device, you must restore it to iOS 8.1 from iTunes. First download the firmware corresponding to your iDevice, then click on the button Restore by holding down the SHIFT (Windows) or ALT (Mac) key. Then choose the IPSW file.
For others, you can download iOS 8.1.1 directly from your iOS terminal by going to Settings > General > Software update. It is also possible to recover it from iTunes by plugging it into your computer and following the on-screen instructions.
