Apple made available yesterday iOS 7.0.6 for all devices compatible with iOS 7. This new firmware (build 11B651) follows iOS 7.0.5 released at the end of last month and reserved, remember for the iPhone 5S and 5C (read: iOS 7.0.5 available for iPhone 5S & iPhone 5C).
This security update only fixes a problem with connection verification SSL. According to the changelog, Apple specifies that a hacker with privileged access on the network can capture or modify data in sessions protected by SSL / TLS.
The iOS 7.0.6 update is now available for OTA (Over-The-Air) download. The update file weighs around 30 MB on an iPhone 5s and can be obtained via Settings > General > Software update from your iDevice.
In parallel, Apple also offers iOS 6.1.6 for’iPhone 3GS and theiPod Touch 4G, which corrects this same SSL concern. This proves that the apple company has not completely dropped the security of its old mobile operating system.
