According to a source reliable of MacStories, the iOS 4.2 firmware update will be available for download as of this Friday, November 12, and more precisely at 7 p.m. (H.B.). The delay in the availability of the new firmware would be bug last minute concerning Japanese characters. Apple has been forced to delay the availability of the new iOS to correct this small problem immediately.
As we told you during our full summary of iOS 4.2, this firmware version requires a new version of iTunes software. According to this same source, this new version (10.1) is ready and will be available for download today.
