Many users expect a tool to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1. The Dev Team column recently announced that an update of their Greenpoison (RC5) tool would very soon be released and that it would be able to perform the jailbreak on the iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad and '' iPod touch 2G, 3G and 4G.
According to the hacker team, it is important to bring a new jailbreak solution before the provision of iOS 4.3 because Apple would probably close the loophole to exploit the bootloader (at least in future iDevices released from box in iOS 4.3). The latter however indicate that a new flaw would have been discovered recently but would only be exploited after the launch of the iPhone 4 at Verizon, "with the aim that the customers of this operator can also take advantage of the jailbreak", indicate the hackers. Finally, it is rumored that Geohot could actively return to the iPhone jailbreak field after its recent problems with Sony.
We discuss it on the forum.
