Apple presented to the general public at its 2019 WWDC opening conference held Monday night at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in California iOS 13, the next operating system that will run on the iPhone and iPod Touch in the fall.
As every year, many are the owners of smartphones and Apple players who wonder if they will be able to take advantage of the new version. For iOS 13, the compatible iPhone and iPod Touch are:
- iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE
- iPod touch 7G
It will therefore no longer be possible to update your iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPod Touch 6G in a few months… Regarding iPads and their compatibility with iPadOS 13, the list of supported tablets is as follows:
- 12.9-inch iPad Pro, 11-inch iPad Pro, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, 9.7-inch iPad Pro
- iPad 6G, iPad 5G, iPad mini 5G, iPad mini 4
- iPad Air 3G, iPad Air 2
Right after its keynote, Apple released for developers the first beta of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13. It will take until July to be able to test these two OSes for users registered in the brand’s testing program. The final versions are scheduled for next September.
