Already offered by macOS Mojave on apple computers, the main purpose of dark mode is to relieve your eyes. Who has never been dazzled by the impressive brightness of their iPhone in the middle of the night? If there is already, by rummaging through the display parameters, a “Reverse colors” mode, the option remains far from sufficient.
The dark mode display of iOS 13 would also make sense on a device equipped with a screen OLED, which offers deep blacks and saves battery.
