The future version of Apple’s operating system, iOS 11, is expected to be unveiled in June at the World Developer Conference (WWDC 2017). Significant improvements to Siri are expected with iOS 11, including contextual learning capabilities, advanced integration with iMessage and better synchronization with iCloud.
The source code of Siri’s artificial would receive a major update allowing it to learn the habits of its users. The voice assistant could then exit its fairly limited dialog box to propose different actions depending on the context. For example in iMessage, Siri would make suggestions regarding the current conversation (which restaurant to choose, how to get there or make a reservation).
During the second half of this year, Apple will present its premium phone, the iPhone 8. The Cupertino brand also wants to strike a blow to celebrate the 10 years of its smartphone. It does not intend to offer only hardware innovations, since it also wants to show software advances.
Apple wants to equip its flagship iPhone of 2017 with a powerful operating system and a smarter voice assistant. Logically, iOS 11 will be presented in June and will be available with the iPhone 8 from September.
