The final version of iOS 10 should be available for download and installation today, probably tonight if the schedule is respected. IOS 10 has been announced for several months and Apple’s mobile operating system is in development.
At Apple’s last keynote last week, the GM version (Golden master) was announced and made available to developers. Now it’s the final consumer version which should arrive this evening, according to the schedule announced by Apple. As with every new version of an operating system, not all devices are eligible. And for iOS 10, it’s the same thing. For smartphones, apart from the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus delivered with iOS 10 installed by default, all iPhone are eligible from version 5.
Are therefore not affected iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, which is somewhat normal since Apple has already announced the end of support for these phones from September 14. Eligible iPads are iPad Mini versions 2, 3 and 4 as well as iPad 4, iPad Air 1 and 2 and iPad Pro. And for iPods, only the iPod Touch 6G is affected. As usual, make a backup of your data, contacts, photos, etc. before downloading and installing iOS 10. A problem quickly happened!
