After the presentation ofiOS 10 during the opening keynote of the WWDC 2016, many developers were surprised by the disappearance of the application Game center. They were wondering if this was only temporary and if the app would reappear in another beta or on the final version of the new mobile operating system, but this will not be the case.
Indeed, the apple company has permanently removed Game Center from its applications. In exchange, it offers developers to develop an interface for Game Center if they use it in their games. This will in particular show the players the various data related to the title (score of other players, awards, trophies, etc.).
However, Apple apparently does not plan to abandon it completely! Although it disappears as an application, Game Center is still in the settings of iOS 10. This means that the app has simply been transformed into a service and that it no longer has the same place as before. It remains to be seen whether this will make it easier for developers or make their integration more difficult. What is certain is that they will now have to devote a little more time to the development of their games if they want to join the Game Center.
