Sumbul Desai communicated in an interview with MobiHealthNews about the ECG function embedded in theApple Watch Series 4.

The vice president of health Apple said thatit’s okay for a doctor to worry about what might happen within the physician community with an innovation of such magnitude : allow a patient to monitor the condition of their heart at all times.

Dr Sumbul Desai says doctors are still trying to understand how to take care of the data an Apple Watch while the users already love this feature.

So far, the doctors’ reactions have been fairly positive. Some cardiologists have even started record data from the watch’s ECG that patients have reported to them.

The biggest problem for doctors is therefore not how to process the information, but rather how to organize management receiving data in the health system.

The Vice-President went on to explain thatApple creates products for all users of all ages. Thus, the Watch Series 4 is not dedicated to people over 65 as some might think.

This watch also detects the falls and has a function capable of alerting the emergency services. Sumbul Desai then recalls that falling is the most common reason for an emergency room visit and can affect all ages.
