Once again, the traditional exposure of new Apple devices among specialists at iFixit took place.
This time, it is the new iMac Pro and it must be said that we were impatiently awaited as the device is so impressive.
The iMac pro is dismantled at iFixit
Once again, an Apple product has just fallen under the screwdrivers of the iFixit team. This is the new iMac Pro and its famous T2 chip which, obviously, is not alone!
The autopsy, indeed, revealed quite a lot about the new machine. The latter opens just like the iMac 5K, with a first component placed behind the screen which is none other than the fan in charge of cooling the device.
For the hardware change, the editorial staff noted that it was possible to change the processor but also the RAM modules. However, the graphics card seems to be stuck under the thermal paste and could not be replaced.
As said at the beginning of the article, the T2 chip would not be the only one present in the belly of the beast since another chip called "338S00268" is also present. The latter could be the equivalent of the A10 Fusion chip found in the iPhone 7. Why such a choice? Only Apple can provide this answer.
Regarding the famous note left by the editorial staff at each inspection, the iMac Pro gets a small 3 out of 10 in terms of repairability.
