iMac 2017: Intel Xeon E3 and 64 GB of RAM in PRO version

os-x-el-capitan ipa iphoneApple had finally made a call to the professional world two weeks ago talking about a new Mac Pro, a new iMac Pro and refreshing the first city while waiting for its replacement.

The most interesting for the general public obviously relates to iMac, all-in-one workstations that could accommodate a PRO model as suggested by Apple. It is Digitimes, close to the production lines, which informs us that the iMac 2017 Pro version will have an Intel Xeon E3-1285 processor and up to 64 GB of ECC RAM.

Side graphics card, we would go to the latest AMD cards with a significant gain in power. It remains to be seen if it will be possible to change it again, just like the RAM that has been soldered on the iMac 4K on sale since 2013.

Finally, everything would be produced by Quanta Computer, a supplier of Apple we know about the iPad part in particular.

Date and price of the iMac Pro?

We have not yet priced for the Pro version of the iMac 2017 but expect at least 2000 euros with the "small slab" of 21.5 inches. As for the date, we are on an outing scheduled for back to school.
