Free again ISP number 2? Illiad has just announced its figures for the second quarter of 2008 (half-yearly results are expected on August 28). With a gain of 93,000 subscribers and a growth of 20.6% in its turnover during the first half, everything is fine for the ISP. If the number of new subscribers is slightly down compared to the 137,000 customers who joined the ranks of Free in the first quarter, the recruitment share of the ISP in the sector is 25%. Far from 57% of Orange, but well above 9% of Neuf SFR.

4 million by 2010?

As of June 30, Illiad announced a total of 3.134 million subscribers, compared to the 3.767 million customers at Neuf and the 7.84 million at Orange. Free therefore finally passes the 3 million subscriber mark and wishes to reach 4 by 2010 (excluding possible acquisitions)
