Manufacturers have understood this, it is becoming more and more interesting to establish partnerships with the new technology sectors. So, while LaFerrari, presented at least in March, was going to take iPad Mini on board (read: Ferrari: cars soon to be equipped with Apple devices), it is Volkswagen’s turn to present its idea of iBeetle.
The German brand has announced two new series, iBettle and Beetle Convertible, in which theiPhone, by adding : ” The iBettle is one of the first cars in the world to have a real integration of the iPhone coordinated by Apple “.
Above the dashboard will be an iPhone dock, created in cooperation with engineers from the Cupertino company. The smartphone will become the ideal companion for your trips, since it will allow you to control audio streaming applications like Spotify, for example, but also to inform you about the level of coolant or oil remaining in the vehicle. In addition, you will obviously be able to read your SMS and iMessages, but also your Facebook news feed.
As for its release, theiBeetle will be available early next year in two versions (standard and convertible). The price, meanwhile, has not yet been communicated, but we already know that the different options such as a “special” gear lever or leather sports seats could well raise the bill…
