HP ENVY 15 Takes MacBook Pro In Redesigning The ENVY Range – GKZ Hitech

HP has revamped its 2020 ENVY line of notebooks, with 13-17 inch models running the latest 10th generation Intel Core H-Series processors. Focused more on creators than on players, the updated versions ENVY 13, ENVY x360 13, ENVY 15, ENVY x360 15 and ENVY 17 offer options such as 4K OLED screens, 360 degree hinges and up to 600 nits of brightness.

HP ENVY 15 and ENVY x360 15

The engine of the range, the ENVY 15 – and its 360 degree hinge totaling x360 15 siblings – is HP's answer to the MacBook Pro 16. This means that HP cannot escape power, and of course it is well inserted in its aluminum case.

The ENVY 15 incorporates 10th generation Intel Core i9 H processors and GeForce RTX 2060 graphics cards, with a new vapor chamber cooling system. There is up to 2 TB of PCIe SSD storage – with optional RAID 0 – plus WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5, two Thunderbolt 3 ports and HDMI. It can drive up to three external screens simultaneously, says HP.

As for its own screen, the ENVY 15 has a 15.6-inch AMOLED UDH panel with multitouch glass and edge. It is HDR-400 certified with 600 nits of brightness and supports 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. HP finishes it off with an anti-reflective coating. At the top there is an HD webcam with a privacy cover, while the 83 Wh battery goes off. It will go on sale in June for $ 1,349.99.

The ENVY x360 15 will be available in Intel and AMD versions. There will be Intel Core i5 and Core i7 convertible models, as well as AMD Ryzen 5 and 7. Anyway, there is a 15.6-inch IPS Full HD touchscreen – with an optional 4K OLED – while Intel models have up to Iris Plus graphics and AMD versions use Radeon GPUs.

WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5 are integrated, as well as USB Type-C and Bang & Olufsen audio. The touchpad is also 17% larger than before. Its price will be $ 699.99 for the AMD model and $ 849.99 for the Intel model.

HP ENVY 13 and ENVY x360 13

The most portable of the 2020 ENVY range, the 13.3 inch ENVY 13 and ENVY x360 13 manage to adapt their notch almost the size of an 11 inch laptop. There will be a choice of 10th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 chips from Intel's G series in the ENVY 13, while the screen is a Full HD IPS touchscreen and powered by Intel Iris Plus graphics. HP says the battery life can reach 15 hours or more.

WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5 are included, and there is a Thunderbolt 3 ct USB Type A port. HP's wide angle webcam has a privacy shutter, and there is also a fingerprint reader. It will go on sale in early May for $ 999.99.

LENVY x360 13 uses AMD Ryzen 7 processors with Radeon graphics. It also has a 13.3-inch Full HD touchscreen, but with a 360-degree hinge. HP also says to expect a range of up to 19.5 hours, although the convertible arrives at the top of WiFi 5 and does not have Thunderbolt connectivity. It will arrive in early May and cost $ 699.99.

HP ENVY 17

The largest of the new laptops, the HP ENVY 17 has, oddly enough, a notch of 17.3 inches. It uses 10th generation Intel G series processors, with the choice of Intel SSD and Intel Optane memory. There are also NVIDIA GeForce MX330 graphics.

WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5 are present and correct, as is Bang & Olufsen audio. The Full HD or UHD screen uses an IPS panel and supports multitouch, as well as a fingerprint reader, a numeric keyboard and up to 11 hours of mixed-use battery life. It weighs just over 6 pounds and has USB Type-C and Type-A ports, plus an HDMI output. The ENVY 17 is available now, priced at $ 1,099.99.
