Going from a version of Windows 10 Home to a version of Windows 10 Professional is not as complicated as you might think. If you imagined a complete installation of the system to switch from one version to another, you were wrong.
Microsoft did it right. Upgrading a Windows 10 Home to a Windows 10 Professional is done by simply changing the product key saved in the system settings. You will therefore only have to buy a Windows 10 Professional product key that you will enter instead of the one already present on your machine.

Even better, if you already have a Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, or Windows 8 / 8.1 Pro product key, for example from a machine that you no longer use, you can in principle use it to run your Windows 10 Family to Windows 10 Professional.
Windows is sometimes unpredictable, so make a full backup of the data stored on your computer before starting the operation.
