No more wasting your volume of mobile data to share photos, videos or other multimedia content with your loved ones. You can now do it between smartphones, without internet or wifi connection.
Have you ever had to share files on your smartphone with someone but didn’t have a network or wifi? In this case, how do I share photos and videos without a connection? Good news, this is a feature now integrated into the Opera Mini mobile browser. So start by installing it on the phones with which you want to share your files.
How to improve the network reception of your smartphone?
Opera Mini simplifies your file sharing
Once installed and started, click on the Opera icon located at the bottom right of the screen then select File sharing.
Before you start exchanging files, you must first pair the phones. On the one containing the files you want to share, click on send, a QR code will appear.
On the second phone, follow the same procedure until the screen File sharing. Select this time To receive. The phone will then ask you to scan the QR code of the first phone to finish connecting them.
Once the pairing is done correctly, you will now be able to send files to each other. The operation is slightly capricious since you will have to click on the file icon… and not on its name (otherwise, the file will launch)!
Once the file is selected, click on To send.
The progress of the exchange then appears at the top around the name of the phone.
Once sending / receiving is finished, click on the file to open it.
Privacy: how to hide images on your smartphone?
Transfer Opera Mini files to your computer
If you want to recover the file (on a computer for example) via a USB cable, the Opera Mini programmers have hidden the files. You will therefore have to go to the Opera Mini folder located in the internal memory of your phone (even if you have a memory card) to find your files.
