If you want to download a great new game or streaming service, but the app is incompatible with your device or isn't available in your country, that doesn't necessarily mean you have to give up.One of the best things about Android is that there is always a way to get what you want.So today we're going to show you how to install incompatible apps on Android using a few nice little tools.
It's important to note that while VPNs and APKs can be very effective, they aren't the answer to all of your problems. You'll find that some apps just aren't compatible with your device – no matter what you do , it will never work.
The Internet-savvy among you is probably already thinking use a VPN to hide your locationand possibly fool the Play Store. And indeed, that’s a method you can use.
There ishas some VPN apps that you can use, most of us here in the office have our own favorites. My VPN of choice is TunnelBear, and I'll show you how to use it to access regionally locked apps in the following guide:
I discovered TunnelBear on a recent trip to China where I was using it as a VPN. It was great for this purpose, but I also realized that it could also be used to bypass incompatible apps. :
1.Download TunnelBear from the Play Store.
2.Launch the app and create an account.
3.You'll see the switch to activate TunnelBear and a world map. Just tap a tunnel anywhere on the globe and wait for the bear to make its way there.
4.If you get a connection request, accept it.
5.Once the bear has tunneled to your new VPN location, you can go find the app you were looking for.
Say I wanted Hulu in Germany, where it’s not possible to install the app.I can simply tell TunnelBear that I am in France and that I will be able to download Hulu. You may still be unable to find apps by searching the Play Store directly. However, searching for the name of the app and the Play Store in Chrome should bring up the app link. You can now click on this link and download and install the application.
Note that you may need to continue using VPN to access content from restricted apps and that not all apps will work outside their regions. If the app still indicates that it is not available in your country , clear the Play Store cache inSettings> Applications> Google Play Store, then try again.
There is good news and bad news: installing an incompatible application on your smartphone is very simple, but it only works with free titles.
All you have to do is download the APK application viaAPK Downloaderand copy the URL of the application to the Google Play Store. On your smartphone, the trick is to retrieve the URL by selecting the buttonShareon the Play Store and open Gmail.
1.Copy the app URL.
2.Paste the URL into the APK Downloader site.
3.Download the APK file.
If the APK Downloader site is not working, you can always try to recover the APK file you want viaAPK Mirror.
Not all apps will work properly with your device just because you cheated on the Play Store by downloading them. It is always possible that strange things happen due to the difference in screen resolution or aspect ratio, or the app may not work at all.
What apps have you downloaded using these methods? Do you have any other tips to share? Let us know in the comments below.
