Version 10.15, macOS Catalina, signed the end of iTunes on Mac. iTunes has become a real gas factory. It then separated into 3 very distinct applications (which honor their names): Music, Podcast and TV. You may have understood this easily. But concretely, what becomes of your iDevices? What about syncing and backing up your iPhone? Rest assured, no need to juggle with these apps. No need to search, your iPhone will not be detected in any of these 3 new applications. Under macOS Catalina, you can find iPhone options in the Finder.

The backups are done in the same way, it is the archived backups that change slightly.
The iPad and iPod touch are also found in the Finder. Regarding the Apple Watch, nothing has changed, it is still and only visible on the iPhone with which it is paired.
