Do you find the responsiveness of your mobile phone quite capricious in recent days? It is probably time to clear the data of your favorite applications as well as the cache of your Android operating system.
Android applications are a bit like collections, we install lots of them when it’s fashionable and then we forget them so that sometimes… the system warns us that the space remaining on the smartphone is low. If you want to keep your apps while saving space, you can try cleaning up the cache and data.
Clean up the cache and data of your applications, a very simple task
These options are buried at the bottom of the menu Settings. To find them, open your phone’s settings and then go to Applications.
On some smartphones, information on the size of each application appears under each of them to facilitate the process. Otherwise, you will have to click on it to find the most delicious. Surprisingly, some apps take up a lot of space in terms of their functionality (this is the case for example with the Leboncoin app). On the other hand and more obviously, games are usually good customers to start your research (like Pokemon Go, Candy Crush or Clash of clans).
In the list, select the app then in the application menu choose Storage.
Once at this stage, you will be offered two choices:
Empty the cache : this data is temporary data which is stored to avoid consuming data on the plans or to speed up loading times, if you delete it, the app will create a cache again when you launch it.
Erase data : this data is a little more important since it is data linked to your account or your game saves for example. If you delete them, you will lose your progress or have to reconnect to the app to use it.
Finally, there are solutions that automatically clean your smartphone like the CCleaner app or its eternal rival on mobile, the CleanMaster app. These solutions will save you time but be careful because they tend to sweep wide and do not always sort. You may therefore have to reconnect on each of your apps, a word to the wise.
