More and more people have an iPhone, but some features are unknown to most users. If you have been following us for a while, you are surely very knowledgeable regarding the Apple universe and in particular the iPhone! But how many times have we heard ” Oh! how do you send emoticons in messages? “ ? This is why we decided to make a short tutorial which will certainly help many users.
1. Activate the Emoji keyboard
First of all, you will need to activate the “Emoji Icons” keyboard. iOS offers Emoji natively on iOS, however you must configure them to access them.
For that, nothing more simple, go to the application Settings> General> Keyboard> Add a keyboard…> Emoji icons.
Now that you have added the keyboard containing the Emoji, a new icon has appeared on your keyboard. Just click on the planet to change the keyboard and display the Emoji.
2. Save keyboard shortcuts
The second step will consist in registering keyboard shortcuts in order to transform manual moods like “;)” or even “: p” in Emoji.
To save your shortcuts, go to Settings> General> Keyboard> Shortcuts> +. As shown in the image below, enter the expression (Emoji) and the shortcut that will be used to display the Emoji.
Once all your shortcuts are saved, you can type your messages by adding Emoji without even changing the keyboard, a significant time saving!
Hope these little tips have helped you.
