Excellent initiative from the MacRumors site. Following last month’s revelations about the hypothetical diagram of the so-called iPhone 5, MacRumors asked a graphic design firm to produce a concept of the fifth generation of the iPhone based on these elements. Here is the result obtained:
First, this firm took the rvl scheme to realize a new vector plan in 3D while preserving the dimensions. It was from there that the company imagined what the iPhone 5 might look like.
Then, a radical change that could affect the iPhone 5 is the transformation of the Home button which could be a touchpad. This would accommodate gestures that would launch functionality.
Another element that could also evolve on the iPhone 5 is the size of the screen. If the current screen of the iPhone 4 is 3.5 ″, the screen of the iPhone 5, it could be enlarged 4 ″. This would allow Apple’s new smartphone to be able to better compete, such as Samsung, which is now inclined to offer such a screen size for its smartphones. The resolution of the screen could also be optimized. It remains to be seen whether Apple will be able to find the right compromise to facilitate the work of developers for applications currently compatible with the iPhone 4 screen. A new standard in display resolution for applications would therefore be expected.
What will likely be the compelling argument for Apple to offer its new product is its thinner appearance. Close to that of the fourth generation iPod touch. Work would therefore have been considerably carried out in this direction and exited the glass faces which could be replaced by aluminum, at least for the rear hull of the craft. So a kind of back to the days of the first generation iPhone.
According to MacRumors, the final dimensions of the new iPhone could be as follows: 10.99 cm x 5.99 cm and 0.68 cm thick at the top and 0.53 cm at the bottom of the craft. As a reminder, the dimensions of the iPhone 4 are 11.43 cm x 5.86 cm x 0.93 cm. The iPhone 5 could therefore be wider but thinner.
The iPhone 5 is expected to be introduced next month for questionable marketing towards the end of the month or early October.
