When Microsoft announced the takeover of LinkedIn by Microsoft for $ 26.2 billion in June, the professional social network had more than 430 million members. Today, LinkedIn claims to have passed the milestone of half a billion members (14 million in France).
" We have recently taken an important and exciting step. We now have half a billion members in 200 countries who connect, conduct professional discussions and find opportunities through their connections on LinkedIn. "writes Aatif Awan, vice president of LinkedIn.
It highlights a community that represents more than 10 million active job offers, access to more than 9 million companies and more than 100,000 articles published each week.
LinkedIn, however, does not specify the number of active users per month, knowing that it was 106 million in October out of a total of 467 million members at the time.
In any event, the takeover by Microsoft does not seem to have had a significant effect on the rate of growth in the number of members for LinkedIn, which continues as before. With this takeover, the Redmond company obtained access to a large amount of data to help it improve its professional products such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
Moreover, Microsoft has just announced a new integration to bring Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Sales and Sales Navigator closer to LinkedIn.
