Christine Albanel got caught in the back this morning in the hemicycle. It was indeed against his advice that the deputies voted to suspend payment of the Internet connection for a subscriber from whom it was cut.
7 to 10 euros less on his bill
The unanimously voted amendment therefore provides that the price of the Internet subscription be deducted from the monthly bill. According to the Minister of Culture, the amount would be between 7 and 10 euros. The subscriptions currently offered by access providers are indeed “triple-play” and therefore also offer television and unlimited telephony.
This amendment was supported by many Members. Some of them, like Jean Dionis du Séjour (New Center), judged that continuing to pay for their connection without being able to take advantage of it was a “double penalty”. There is no doubt that the opposite solution would also have been viewed in a hostile manner by the French.
