With the Ambient mode, you will be able to use the screens of your Android devices to control all your smart objects and systems in the House.

A smart photo frame

Google Assistant Gets New Feature Called “Ambient Mode”. The principle of this transform screen saver from your smartphone or tablet in photo frame and control station for your smart devices. The function is only activated when your phone is connected to charger or when your tablet is placed on its dock.

The screen then displays general wizard information similar to that found on the Nest Hub. We can therefore consult the weather, its notifications and reminders of the calendar. The screen will also allow you to access your music, to display Pictures your Google Photos account or to control the security system of the House. When you are not using the “hub”, the screen automatically launches a slideshow of your photos.

Google announced at IFA that Ambient mode will take its first steps on phones Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 as well as on Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab and Smart Tab M8 tablets. However, we can expect to see the functionality coming to other Android devices soon. The Mountain View company has also planned a deployment of his assistant on new types of devices such as helmets, pregnant and televisions.
