The tech giant Huawei partnered with the Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster to launch connected glasses. Gizmochina reported that these smart glasses are already listed on the Gentle Monster website, and will be available on the Chinese market from September 6.
Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, first revealed the company’s collaboration with the Asian brand a few months ago, saying the upcoming glasses are the perfect combination of fashion and technology.
Monster Huawei x Gentle Monster glasses are primarily designed for their trendy look and are intended for a relatively young audience. Five models will be available in China initially, including two models of sunglasses and three models of clear optical glasses.
An employee of Gentle Monster’s flagship store in Beijing, says the Gentle Monster Smart Glasses, which will allow users to answer phone calls and listen to music, will be compatible with smartphones other than those made by Huawei, such as iPhone.
