EverythingApplePro is known for its many performance comparisons. In a video shared this week, the YouTube channel tester competed against theiPhone 7 Plus, the Galaxy S8, the Google Pixel, the LG G6 and theOnePlus 3T in speed tests. With its A10 processor and 3 GB of RAM, Apple’s phone dominated its competitors, all running Android.
The Samsung S8 has a Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB of RAM. We find the same capacity of RAM on the G6 and the Pixel. The 3T, meanwhile, is equipped with 6 GB of RAM. The last 3 models that we just mentioned have the Snapdragon 821. The first test consists in opening and reopening all the applications of the smartphone. EverythingApplePro thus obtained the following classification:
- iPhone 7 Plus: 2 min 44 in T1 and 33 sec in T2
- Galaxy S8: 5 min 36 in T1 and 2 min 04 in T2
- OnePlus 3T: 6 min 07 in T1 and 53 sec in T2
- LG G6: 5 min 59 sec in T1 and 2 min 03 sec in T2
- Google Pixel: 6 min 34 sec in T1 and 2 min 15 sec in T2
The second test is to restart the phones. In this exercise, Apple’s smartphone still finished in the lead, with however a few changes at the bottom of the ranking. The iPhone 7 Plus in front of the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 on the podium, followed by the OnePlus 3T and the Google Pixel.
In the Geekbench 4 test, the iPhone 7 Plus (5954) is still the fastest. The G6 (4261), OnePlus 3T (4314) and Pixel (4377) are far behind. The S8 is not the fastest mobile, but still ends up with the best score (6202) in the multi-core test.
