Last week, Samsung unveiled its flagship phone, the Galaxy S8. According to benchmark tests with the iPhone 7 Plus, the new smartphone from the South Korean giant is barely more powerful than that of Apple. A model using the Samsung Exynos 8895 processor was used for these tests.
The test AnTuTu reveals that the Galaxy S8 is currently the most powerful smartphone in the world. However, the gap with the iPhone 7 Plus is very small. With a score of 174,155, the Samsung terminal is only 0.6% better than the Apple phone (173,110).
In the test GeekBench, the difference between the two devices is more important. With a score of 6,339, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is 11.92% better than the iPhone 7 Plus (5,664). The latter however obtains a much higher score during the GeekBench test with a single processor core. Indeed, the apple smartphone is doing well with a score of 3,473, or 76% better than the Samsung phone (1,974).
The S8 with an E8895 processor will be marketed in France and other countries. However, the version that will be sold in the United States will ship the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
