The Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra should be deprived of a charger in the box, as evidenced by official marketing images relayed by the WinFuture site and the famous leaker Roland Quandt. Samsung would therefore be walking in the footsteps of Apple, which has also decided to remove the charger from the box of the iPhone 12.

As of this writing, Samsung is officially unveiling the Exynos 2100, its brand new processor that will equip some of the Galaxy S21s. And as for the event dedicated precisely to its new flagships, the manufacturer has given us an appointment this Thursday, January 14, 2021.
While waiting for this digital conference to be held, leaks about the Galaxy S21 continue to flood the web. While two famous leakers have assured that the back of the S21 will be made of plastic, the reveal of the day concerns the presence or not of a charger in the box of Galaxy S21.
No charger or headphones in the box of Galaxy S21
According to official marketing images relayed by our colleagues from the German site WinFuture and by the renowned leaker Roland Quandt (himself at the origin of the leak concerning the use of plastic materials), Samsung has decided to follow in Apple’s footsteps. and iPhone 12 and remove the charger from the packaging of its next smartphones.
Thus, the box will only contain the smartphone, a USB Type-C cable, a SIM eject tool, and a quick start guide. Apart from the absence of a charger, Samsung will not provide headphones in the box. However, this particularity will not concern French buyers. Indeed, legislation obliges manufacturers like Apple and Samsung to provide a hands-free kit with their smartphone.

By removing the charger and headphones from the packaging, Samsung reduces the size and cost of the packaging. As a result, the manufacturer can fill its pallets with more smartphones, and deliver more. The brand thus reduces its costs relating to the transport of goods and its carbon footprint at the same time.
In addition, the various advertisements published by Roland Quandt on Twitter confirm the possibility of opting for a 256 or 512 GB internal storage capacity. In addition, all three variants will be IP68 certified, meaning that they are protected against dust and able to withstand splashing and are waterproof to more than one meter deep for one hour.
