Galaxy S21 +: CAD renderings surface with exact dimensions of the smartphone

New renderings of the Galaxy S21 + have appeared on the web. These would be based on a CAD file with the exact dimensions of the model. A priori, this preview is the most faithful to date of the final design of the smartphone.

A series of new renderings of S21 + appeared on the web. To believe Sam Mobile who spotted them, these images come from a CAD file (or CAD in French for Computer Aided Design, ndlr) which would be himself faithful to the specifications of the production lines. According to this file, therefore, the dimensions of the Galaxy S21 + will be 161.55 x 75.6 x 7.86 mm.

According to these dimensions, the Galaxy S21 + will be imperceptibly larger than its predecessor the S20 + (161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8 mm). In fact its size brings it a little closer to the S20 Ultra 5G which measures precisely 166.9 x 76 x 8.8 mm. The dimensions included in this leak are consistent with the rumors of recent weeks. In particular the arrival of a 120 Hz screen of 6.8 ″ instead of the 6.7 ″ screen on the S20 +.

The Galaxy S21 + will be slightly larger than the S20 +

The rendering also takes the design of the photo module on the back as seen in various renderings for several weeks. A choice that certainly aims to give more design personality to these very high-end smartphones. A priori the Galaxy S21 will be one of the last generations to stand out as much from the Note range, which will eventually disappear.

It is thus possible that the smartphone is a step ahead of a smartphone that offers the best of both worlds, with perhaps a dedicated S-Pen slot in the smartphone casing as the manufacturer currently does in its Note smartphones. Samsung is expected to launch the S21 + sometime in January 2021.
